Abstract
Tactile Internet with Human-in-the-Loop (TaHiL) applications relies heavily on wearable devices and peripherals to facilitate human interactions. This chapter provides an overview of the role of wearables in enhancing human experiences within TaHiL applications. The chapter highlights the advantages of wearable devices in harnessing human skills, especially in the realm of haptics. Furthermore, the chapter explores the design challenges associated with wearable technology, considering digital, physical, and hybrid interactions. Additionally, this chapter discusses some of the wearable devices that CeTI has already developed, offering valuable insights into the future of TaHiL peripherals.
